How We Think About Impact
First Light is a growing organization. We distinguish between the outcomes our programs are designed to support and results we have actually measured. As our work grows, we will share evidence responsibly rather than overstate what early activity can prove.
As the program develops, our approach to measurement will include participant feedback, participation and continuity data, referral-partner feedback, community reach, and other appropriate measures that help us understand what is working and where the model can improve.
Our Work So Far
First Light's early work has included the Women's Free Hugs Gathering in August 2025, the Women's Community Gathering in September 2025, and the Holiday Fundraiser in December 2025, along with relationship-building with referral and community partners and the development of First Light Circles and supporting educational materials. That foundation is now becoming a more structured support and education ecosystem.
