Luise Borner is a remarkable young woman whose courage and resilience is truly inspiring: At just 21 years old, Luise has taken her own experiences of trauma and turned them into a powerful mission to help others heal and thrive. Luise was born in Germany and moved to the United States as a young girl. Like many of us, she faced the challenges of adapting to a new culture and a new language. But she also faced a deeper, more personal struggle.Luise is a survivor of sexual abuse and assault. Yet, rather than letting her past define her, she has chosen to transform her pain into a beacon of hope for others.Luise is the founder of First Light, a charitable organization dedicated to helping survivors of sexual abuse and assault reclaim their lives and pursue their dreams. The mission of First Light is clear: to help people "live their dreams despite having lived through their worst nightmares." Through this organization, Luise provides essential resources, unwavering support, and a compassionate community for those on their journey to healing.Beyond her work with First Light, Luise is also a podcaster, influencer and a powerful voice to her generation on social media.
